BALLET & POINTE
We offer age appropriate ballet classes from beginner to pre-professional and adult classes. All of our teachers have master level training and focus on building strong technique, while still encouraging students to find joy and fun in the class.
Ballet 1: A class appropriate for students ages 4.5-6 where they begin to explore ballet terms, positions, and choreography while still playing and exploring space and movement. Ballet/Tap: Ballet/Tap is a class for students ages 5-7 to learn the fundamentals of ballet and tap technique in a fun and fast-paced environment. Students learn basic ballet steps and terminology, then change into their tap shoes and learn beginning tap steps that will help them develop strength, balance and coordination. This is perfect for someone who wants the best of both worlds! Ballet 2: A class appropriate for dancers ages 7-10, with or without prior ballet experience. Dancers will continue to work on skills from ballet 1 with an emphasis on correct placement and movement quality. Ballet 3: A class for dancers ages 11-15 with prior experience in ballet or technique. Dancers will continue to perfect basic ballet technique while adding more challenging steps and ideas into their dancing, as well as explore classical and contemporary ballet choreography. Female-identifying dancers will work towards and begin to wear pointe shoes, while male-identifying dancers will begin to learn male-specific steps and build strength. Depending on participation, partnering may be an element of class. |

This class will continue perfecting ballet technique, postures, and placement while learning challenging choreography and developing personal artistry. Female-identifying dancers will continue to work with pointe shoes. Male-identifying dancers will continue focusing on male-specific steps and develop their strength. Depending on participation, partnering may be an element of class.
Pointe/Choreography: Appropriate for dancers 14+ with minimum 2 years experience in pointe, this class is designed to teach choreography in both classical and contemporary realms, giving students the opportunity to build strength across genres. |
